Claire Tamarelle, a veteran of the movie industry, started Boulevard Films as a vehicle to distribute foreign films. She later launched Left Bank Cinema using a similar model. Both companies secured rights to independent movies from Europe, South and Central America, Australia and other countries. Titles included political and action stories, dramas, and comedies.

Peter Harris & Associates was asked to develop identities for both companies,

sleeves for all selections, consumer oriented posters, and marketing materials for the trade.

“Your understanding of our product and your inspiration in rendering highly polished, professional packages have received applause (and envy) from many of our competitors in the industry. Your innate ability to sense when to be bold and dramatic, or soft and understated, creates images that are enticing and genuinely

representative of a film’s mood and content. Similarly, your logo designs for both Boulevard Films and Left Bank Cinema evoke sentiments of precisely what they represent–interesting films from intriguing places. Their richness and simplicity are unique and evocative; we are very proud to display them!” —Claire Tamarelle, President, Boulevard Films & Left Bank Cinema
